2020 - QAGOMA Creative Generation 2021
What started out as just a personal project I undertook during my final year of high school, ended up winning the Creative Generation Excellence Awards in Visual Art! It was a major honour to have my first finished personal project end up on the walls of the Queensland Art Gallery, Gallery of Modern Art. I’ve learnt a lot since then and look back on it with some cringe haha, but mostly of fond memories of self rediscovery during the pandemic.
These pieces were traditional art, four A3 papers drawn with ink pens. Wild times that was, fully absorbing myself with rulers and eraser shavings sprawled all over my table, hands stained in black ink and lead. Ah, good times.
