2022 - Virtual model for ArpeggioAoto
It was an honour to create the design of Arpeggio’s Vtuber model, it was so fun designing for a new type of media. Live2D is similar to 3D where it’s 1 model so, unlike 2D where simple is better for animation efficiency, detail wasn’t an issue. Vtuber culture is heavily into overly detailed design but I still wished to have it simple enough for fanart, focusing on overall balance and making a nice silhouette. I really enjoyed finding creative ways to incorporate design elements only possible with live2D that would be annoying if done in 2D animation.
I loved figuring out fun ways to incorporate music elements into the design for our musical Prince, can you find them all?
